KYRKESUND |
On the
mountain above Kyrkesund you find Sankt Olofs valar which is three cairns.
As to the tradition Olav the holy buildt them after a sailing race
together with his brother. From the above mentioned mountain you have a
wonderful view over the village, Härön and the sea. Just below the
mountain you find Kålhuvudet. Kålhuvudet is an old train oil boiler from
the 1800th century. The buildings also have been used as
saltinaries and inns. Further there has been a commerce with grains and provisions.
The habitated (private) house is by south painted in yellow as well as in the west,
but on the other walls painted in red. This house is a very well-known
landmark along the coast. |
