Rönnäng has got it's name from the old norse word for clearing. From Rönnäng there is a regulary ferry traffic to the car free islands Åstol, Dyrön and Tjörnekalv. From the hill Tjörne huvud you have a marvellous view at the sea. There is a steep path leading up to the top of the hill. The church in Rönnäng, situated in the sheld of the hill is from the 1800th century. If you want to sleep over the Hotel Bergabo and the youth hostel in Rönnäng are to be recommended. If you feel hungry you go to Rönnäng’s Brygga. In Rönnäng wood boats are produced by Rönnäng’s shipyard. In the neighbourhood there is a nature area named Tuveslätt-Tosskärr. In Tosskärr there is an old habitation, dated to 7000 years before Christ, which means it is one of the oldest places in the west of Sweden. |
